As each home is completely unique, our projects vary. Geneva Ness Design also partners with a trusted network of various contractors and subcontractors, or we’ll happily collaborate with the ones you’ve selected. We’ll ensure every aspect of your project comes together beautifully and is completed to our quality standards.
Geneva has been instrumental in the remodeling, furnishings and decor for my last two homes. From flooring to chandeliers, and everything in between, her skillful and creative design ideas fit my needs and budget perfectly. Her professional connections in the Seattle area with contractors, architects, structural engineers, and suppliers assure me I’m getting the best quality and value available.
Geneva discussed each decision with us and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. She remained conscious of our budget and our style and created a space that felt like the best version of us. The end result was a beautiful, functional home that flowed easily from room to room. Every room felt connected and purposeful. If you’re considering working with Geneva Ness Design, rest assured you will be thrilled with the results and you will have a stunning home that feels like you, but with a clean, organized, gorgeous twist.
Before working with Geneva, I was extremely overwhelmed with the process, language, and even simple decisions of a remodel. I was drawn to Geneva’s versatile style and experience, I knew it was the right choice [to hire her]. Our new spaces are designed perfectly. They work for our family, cater to entertaining and maximize our view. Geneva is very easy to work with, she’ll guide you in the right direction so you make thoughtful decisions. Now I understand the remodeling process and might have a slight addiction! I can’t wait for our next project and the one after that!
Depending on your particular project and needs, here’s our standard design process from start to finish.
After an initial phone call to review your wants and needs, we'll meet in your home to walk through each of the areas you intend to update. We’ll further discuss the breakdown of your budget and the full extent of the project. For example, are we gutting the kitchen and getting new cabinets, or painting the existing ones and adding new hardware? From there, our team will begin working on the overall floor plan and getting things on paper.
With the structural plans in place, it’s time to focus on the fun part! We’ll further review your design inspiration and narrow your style down to roughly two key descriptors. From there, I’ll develop mood boards of the spaces for review and refinement. Then, it’s time to begin shopping for cabinetry, appliances, fixtures and furniture, followed by purchasing. I love shopping alongside my clients, or you’re welcome to leave that part to me.
With everything now ordered and en route, I’m available to manage and coordinate deliveries as desired, as well as provide direction for what goes where. I also check-in with your construction team for installing floors, cabinets, wall coverings, and painting to ensure it all looks as it should. Once everything is installed, dried, and placed, it’s time for the final touches that really bring it all together.
Lastly, the part we’ve all been working towards. I love meeting my clients in-home as you get to step into your fully finished new space for the first time. We’ll walk through each room together, as we did before, showing you everything you need to see and ensuring it’s all in perfect order.
